This past weekend, Greg was leading a trip for the singles from church to the beach. The kids and I originally planned to stay home but as time grew closer and some circumstances changed, we decided to all head out of town for the weekend.
Even though the weekend seemed rushed, we enjoyed our time together. The girls adjusted great and slept well away from home. The boys enjoyed having a chance to play a round of golf and having a chance to hang out with Grammy and Grandpa.
We are now ready to usher in fall with apples and pumpkins, hayrides and costumes! Apple picking trip is in the works!

Gamecock Antlers
Yesterday our family celebrated the opening game for the 2010 Gamecocks football season. Greg woke up early to make the family gamecock-shaped pancakes and had a little treat for everyone. We have a family tailgate for dinner and watched the first quarter together. It was the girls' first Carolina game.
Prior to the game, Camden had baseball practice. Greg picked up the boys to take them to the ball field and as he drove up Landon shouted, "Daddy has Gamecock antlers on his car" - Greg was flying his Carolina flags. Little excitement that goes a long way. Fun family night.
