Today we ventured out of the safe, baby-proofed walls of home and went on our first field trip, all five of us (me + boys + girls). We travelled down I-77 for a while to Historic Brattonsville. The boys had a great time playing with other kids from our co-op. The girls ran through wide-open, grassy fields and loved the sheep and roosters. Me, I'm grateful that a friend had some field trips under her belt and had enough wisdom and love to invite us to caravan with them. If it had not been for her and two sweet middle school girls who loved on the girls, the trip would have been way more than I could have handled.
With our first trip under our belt, I now have knowledge of how to navigate through other trips a little easier. All and all, we had a great time - caravaning, exploring, learning, picnicing, footballing, and running.
