Last Day of Preschool

This morning I dropped Landon off at his last day of preschool. Even as I write this, tears sting my eyes. I can't believe that my boys will both be in school next year. It has been such a blessing for Camden to be at Ben Lippen this year and God has made a way for Landon to be there as well next year. My prayer is that I will learn and grow so that I can be an encouraging and fun "mom" (not Mommy : ) to my growing boys. Summer here we come!

Girlfriend!

As soon as Camden entered the car in carpool today, he said, "Mom, I have a girlfriend!" A girlfriend? He's only in kindergarten! As we continued to talk, he told me that a girl in his class, Claxi, had asked him if he was her friend. During afternoon center time, apparently she made a book about the two of them and Camden drew a picture of them together. Very cute.

Greg and my desire has always been to keep communication open about friends, girlfriends, and things happening at school. We don't want to pick or joke because we know that puts up walls. Alas, Camden's first girlfriend - what do we say? How do we respond - I'm glad that you are friends : )

Thankful

This weekend I have not felt well. I don't know if it's exhaustion, my Crohn's or a combination of things. Anyway, Greg has been so great. He and the boys helped clean the house yesterday morning, he has done dishes (and more dishes), and LAUNDRY! I am so grateful for him. This week we will celebrate our 10th Anniversary. I can't believe it has been that long! He is a wonderful husband and daddy and I am so thankful for him.

I have no idea where God will take us these next 10 years, but I am so glad to know that Greg is seeking Christ with all of his heart and that he desires to lead our family in a Godly manner.

Trophy!

Yesterday North Trenholm had their trophy ceremonies and cookout for all the baseball teams. Camden was SOOOO excited to receive his trophy. It absolutely made his day.

Sick Day?

This morning, only an hour after dropping Camden off at school, I received a phone call from the school nurse saying Camden was not feeling well. He seems to be doing better now, but it has been so sweet for the boys to be together today. They have their moments, but I love having two boys who see each other as their best friend.

Amerikids

Since September, Camden has been talking about his class leading chapel. He has been SO excited about this event. Finally, after the class prepared for MONTHS, the date was announced for the Ben Lippen K5 Amerikids Chapel. Both campuses participated together and did a great job celebrating the freedom God has given us in America. Camden did a great job - belting out every word to every song. It was extra-special to have Great-Granddaddy be a part of the morning.

Easter Morning

We had our first Easter morning at the lake this year . . . the boys decked out, personalities included : ) We went to church at First Baptist and then headed back to the lake for Easter lunch.
