Time . . . Gone

Time. Its something I always seem to need more of. Lately, our days seem so filled and I always leave something unfinished.

The last couple of years, we have taken the boys on a Back to School Trip. We never go far but just head out of town to do a little shopping, play a little more, and enjoy the last drop of summer. This year, our trip seemed a little difficult to plan since heading out of town means packing two cars (even for a one night excursion), getting the girls off their normal schedule (which we are just getting a hold of since we added solid foods to the mix), and paying for two hotel rooms, instead of one.

Well, this morning I sent the boys off for a modified trip - Mimi and Pop style. My parents decided to take the boys to Charlotte for a couple of nights to stay at the Great Wolfe Lodge, visit the Lego store, and go to Discovery Place. So much fun.

While on my way to meet Greg for lunch, emotion suddenly came over me. Our last day at home before school begins has gone. The summer has slipped by. The boys will be entering another grade - Camden on another end of the school.

Gone. Today I was reminded to enjoy each chance I get with the kids. To not get so wrapped up in cleaning and laundry that I don't have time to hang out and have fun. I love this song by Point of Grace. I want to enjoy each drop of each day. Love well. Enjoy this season before this time is gone.
